Our Lady of Lebanon Zgharta Hosptial
In the mountains of North Lebanon, When a beloved community member passed away, it took three hours to reach the nearest facility with a mortuary, and nearly two days before the body could be moved. Families were left waiting, grieving in limbo, without a space to mourn or preserve the dignity of their loved ones. Upon learning this i knew something had to change. So, I made the decision to personally fund the construction and delivery of a new hospital addition in the heart of our region. Today, that facility stands completed — built not from concrete alone, but from the love and respect I hold for our people.
This wing now includes:
A modern mortuary and cold room, ensuring proper care and preservation without delay.
A dedicated autopsy and transport preparation room, offering much-needed medical support and logistical readiness.
And most importantly, a chapel and prayer space, open to all faiths — a quiet sanctuary where families can gather, reflect, and say their final goodbyes with peace and reverence.
This was never about bricks and walls. It was about restoring humanity to a process that had become unnecessarily painful. Today, no family in our mountains will wait days. No loved one will go without dignity. And no farewell will be rushed or stripped of meaning.
What once took hours and left emotional scars, has now become a process of care, respect, and compassion.
